Bush Babies Activity

Kim Dale loves Australian animals. In Kim's new book, Bush Babies you see some lovely pictures of baby Australian animals. However, before you take a peek at the pictures, you have to try to guess what is hidden behind the flap. To help you guess, Kim wrote lots of verses full of clues as to which animal is on each page.

Try this!

Born the size
Of a haricot bean,
I crawled through my mother's
Fur unseen!

Well, did you guess? This is one of the clues to baby koala. Luckily, Kim kindly gives you three clues that help you.

Teachers might like to read Bush Babies with their classes firstly so that the boys and girls can meet the cute babies. They will find some in depth information at the back of the book. This will help classes find answers to a lot of the questions that people ask.
