The Ipswich District Teacher-Librarian Network has carried out a number of projects over a long period of time. We began with writing and illustrating workshops for children, inviting authors and illustrators to run the workshops. We ran a number of authors in schools tours which ultimately lead to the Ipswich Festival of Children's Literature in 1995 which became the StoryArts Festival in 2013. We have run a number of young writers and illustrators camps, publishing books containing their stroies and art work.
In recent years we have collaborated with Primary Arts Network Ipswich to deliver a series of exhibitions which showcase the talent of chidlren in our local schools. These have included 150 Views of Ipswich, One World Many Stories - The Mirror Project and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Exhibition.
